Switching to a home workout routine isn't easy -- it takes some space and a lot of intrinsic motivation -- but in light of the COVID-19 outbreak, workout professionals are doing their part to help us stay in shape. Establishing an at home workout routine could, most importantly, ease anxiety related to coping with the new normal.

Have you ever tried Pilates? I started by Pilates addiction in law school and have been fortunate to find talented instructors since relocating to the Middle East. Pilates is a form of low-impact exercise that aims to strengthen muscles while improving postural alignment and flexibility. Pilates moves tend to target the core, although the exercises work other areas of your body as well. You can do Pilates with or without equipment.

Toning, flexibility, better posture, more efficient movement, the body/mind connection—just about every benefit the Pilates method has to offer can be achieved through mat work. Pilates equipment adds an element of moderate resistance training, which is important in your overall fitness plan.

You gotta try it and we have the perfect opportunity for you to do so!

Our dear friends and owners of the local Pilates studio, House of Pilates, (Mai and Mona Sabr) are offering our an opportunity to destress and keep active by enjoy Pilates classes from home! Check out a fantastic mat class in and avoid #quaratine15 by sending a DM to House of Pilates and join us for a class via Zoom!
